Clients across the UK are able to purchase our faithfully handcrafted cheese in bulk sizes or in self-service portions if required for the dairy aisle. Produced using locally sourced milk from cattle that graze on Lancashire hills, we have a genuine Protection Designation of Origin (PDO) from Beacon Fell in Lancashire. Whilst quality is at the heart of everything we do, we strive to offer the best value for money to our customers.
Operating from our base in Lancashire, we work closely with a network of experienced wholesale distributors across the UK who facilitate getting our cheese into the delis and food halls of some of the biggest name outlets around. High specification machinery and traditional artisanal techniques work in perfect harmony to give us the capability to supply a variety of formats, including parchments, wedges, grated and blocks.
Having been involved with dairy farming since the 17th century, we continue to put our heart and soul into every single block of cheese that we produce. The daily routine of milking, cheddaring maturing and grading remains much the same as it has done for generations, using tried and tested methods of manufacture. All of our cheeses are made to exacting standards using milk from cows and sheep that graze on the very fells that surround our farm. It is this rich milk that is essential when it comes to creating the leading brand of Lancashire cheese in the UK – our Famously Strong Lancashire.
Breadth of Range
From its production at our Mill Farm dairy in Lancashire, the varied range of Singletons cheeses can be found in the catalogues of some of the UK’s leading wholesalers who do a fantastic job at making our products available to consumers across the United Kingdom. From traditional regionals to exotic blends, all of our cheese utilises local produce.
We are especially proud to be recognised as the UK’s leading producer of sheep’s milk cheese. We lovingly produce our exclusive Parlick cheese using only premium sheep’s milk from Stott & Sons, of the award-winning Laund Farm. The sheep leisurely graze on the luscious green pastures of Parlick Fell whilst being cared for by the father and son team.
